About This Program

The CCNA 200-301 Volume 1 course prepares students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam. This course covers the foundational topics of networking, including network components, protocols, and architectures.

Students learn the principles of IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network security as well as how to configure and troubleshoot basic network devices, including routers and switches.

In addition, the course covers the basics of wireless networking, network automation, and network programmability. Students learn the different types of wireless networks and the technologies that support them, and the importance of network automation and programmability in modern networking environments.

Throughout the course, students will have simulated, hands-on lab exercises to reinforce concepts covered in lectures. These labs enable students to practice configuring and troubleshooting network devices in a simulated environment.

The CCNA 200-301 Volume 2 course is the continuation of the CCNA 200-301 Volume 1 course, designed to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam. This course builds upon the foundational topics covered in Volume 1 and focuses on more advanced networking concepts.

Students will learn about the different types of routing protocols, including dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) and EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol). They will also learn about WAN technologies such as Point-to-Point Protocol and Frame Relay, as well as VPN technologies such as IPsec and SSL VPN.

In addition, the course covers network services such as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, Domain Name System, and Network Time Protocol, and the importance of network virtualization using technologies such as VLANs and VXLANs. Students also learn about network security concepts such as access control, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems.

Program Objectives:

This course is designed to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate Exam which is valid for three years. The CCNA exam tests candidates on their knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, LAN switching technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, security, and management.

Grading:

All MicroDiploma courses have different grading systems. For most, it is a combination of homework, assignments, quizzes and exams. Some course grading is 100% based on assignments or exams. An example of the breakdown is listed below.
