In this course students will learn: the concepts associated with industry specific production accounting procedures, proper preparation of financial reporting, important concepts and terminology, and other crucial production accountant methodologies that propel this challenging section.

This course introduces students to the elements associated with oil & gas operations, and the science behind exploration for today’s materials. Topics include: material science and its link to the earth’s materials, exploratory methods such as drilling, the environmental impacts of exploration, the history of drilling, and the safe operations involved in drilling for materials, amongst others.

This course will instruct students to the specific phase where well fluids are brought to the surface and the work that is necessary to prepare them for transportation to refining facilities. Topics include: specific equipment utilized, the separation process, and well completion among others.

This course introduces students to the foundations and core elements of the oil & gas industry. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the inception of the field, key terminology, important historical data, and where the field is moving on a regional, and global scale.

This course looks at the alternative sources of energy available. Renewable energy is an up and coming industry in Canada. An overview of renewable energy in Canada and its impact on energy sustainability. For Canada, there is real opportunity for oil and gas companies to fully integrate with renewables.
