The course covers a range of topics, including negotiation styles, effective communication in negotiations, how to build rapport and establish trust, dealing with difficult negotiators, and how to influence effectively.

In addition, students gain networking strategies for various professional settings. Learn to identify networking opportunities, build and maintain relationships, and leverage those relationships to achieve their goals.

By course end, students will understand the most effective networking and negotiation techniques, enabling them to navigate the complex dynamics of professional relationships and achieve success in their careers.

Program Objectives:

The objective of this online module course in Networking and Negotiation Skills is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively negotiate and build professional relationships. By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the different negotiation styles, the ethical, psychological, cultural, and legal factors that impact negotiations, and the best networking strategies for various professional settings. They will also be able to develop and implement effective negotiation and networking tactics to achieve their objectives and succeed in their careers.

Grading:

All diploma courses have different grading systems. For most, it is a combination of homework, assignments, quizzes and exams.  Some course grading is 100% based on assignments or exams. 

  • Homework and Assignments – 30%
  • Review Quizzes – 30%
    These will test your comprehension of course materials following each section of the course.
  • Knowledge Assessments – 40%
    An overall assessment of the course material, may consist of one or more exams.
